Animation is a big part of graphic design. As a fine art, graphic design covers various types of art from photography, to painting, drawing and, let’s not forget, animation. Nowadays graphic animation has become more accessible for everyone using a computer that wants to dedicate a few hours of practice every day.

Macromedia Flash, now known as Abobe Flash, is one of the best known animation software today and many are mastering it. For a beginner to the software it might seem overwhelming at first. But putting some time into it achieves a great deal. The simplest illustration can be made with basic tools provided by the program. Animation can be added to them using ‘frames’ that animate the objects put on the ‘stage’ – the main window of the program. Any beginner can start out with basic geometrical shapes; add colors, images, other shapes and lines until a fully satisfying illustration is achieved. Practice makes perfect.
